Background:
A 15 year veteran of the fitness industry, Jen Eddins is personal trainer, yoga teacher, group exercise instructor, health and fitness blogger and published author. Jen is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she studied public relations at the Grady College of Journalism. She worked in marketing and advertising for seven years before leaving the field in 2011 to pursue a full-time career in health and fitness.
Having completed two full marathons and many half marathons, Jen first started strength training and practicing yoga to help with running injuries she was experiencing. She fell in love with lifting and power yoga for both how they made her feel and how they supported her running. She began pursuing certifications that would allow her to share fitness and yoga with others. Over the last 15 years, Jen has instructed countless BodyPump and group strength classes, coached CrossFit and worked one-on-one with personal training clients. She has over 6,000 hours of yoga teaching experience and leads classes, workshops and teacher training.
A skilled writer, Jen shares daily updates about food, fitness, yoga and motherhood on her blog Peanut Butter Runner (insert this link: Blog: https://www.peanutbutterrunner.com). She is the author of two books, Ultimate Plank Fitness and The Complete Guide to Yoga Inversions.
When asked “why fitness” Jen’s answer is, “There is no question for me as to why – physical health, mental health and community. Fitness changed my life when I started running at the age of 18 as a way to stay active and fit in college. I have found strength, confidence and passion that I never knew was within me. I love fitness so much that I’ve made it my career because sharing it with others lights me up more than anything.”
Jen has experience working with many different types of clients but has a special passion for working with women to empower them around their strength and help them become more confident in the gym and in their bodies.
